The next BARS meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 7th.

Steve KirkSTEVE KIRK, the Coastal Program Manager for The Nature Conservancy in Massachusetts is our featured speaker for this meeting. He is tasked with advancing coastal conservation strategies largely driven by nearshore habitat restoration including shellfish. Steve grew up on the water and worked in the commercial maritime industry for years before starting an oyster farm in Falmouth. He has a B.A in Geography from The University of Vermont and a Masters in Marine Affairs from University of Rhode Island. He lives with his wife and two young children in Mattapoisett.

The meeting will be held at its regular location at 7:00 PM. The meetings are held in The Old Municipal building, Located on Route 149 near 6A West Barnstable across from the library.
