Ed Dutton

Ed was BARS’ first president. Ed loved the camaraderie and the jovial structure of this new non-profit that has continued until today, 22 years later. Finding a shared value of Barnstable’s shellfish, many of BARS members have become personal friends and Ed was a friend to many of BARS members, past and present. There will never be another Ed Dutton, and we wish him peace since he passed away in August, 2023 at age 97.

Shown here are some photos of those who showed up the last day to help clean the shack; empty the container of bags of cans and boxes of bottles into the truck to be returned to the manufacturers; and finally, to celebrate the end of a job well done.
