Clamming Classes
BARS Supports The Town's Clamming for Kids Classes,
and Their Clamming for Everyone's Classes
Pictured below (left) is Liz Lewis, The Town Shellfish Biologist who heads up all the recreational and commercial shellfish propagation programs in the town. Two BARS members are shown with a family that they taught them how to shellfish.
Below is a photo of a typical Clamming for Everyone Event. BARS members volunteer to teach young and old how to use their rakes to fill their basket with quahogs.
